Bio

Zsuzsanna, born in Budapest Hungary, now spends her life and time traveling between the USA and Europe for her art. Zsuzsanna: "I paint what I feel and I paint what is in my heart." Zsuzsanna is what we call in the art world, A Born Artist. She is a true born artist, Zsuzsanna has never attended one art class, she has never been to any art schools, and she has never had even one art lesson.

If you ask Zsuzsanna why she turns away from the art schools of the world (and being from Europe, she could have attended the best of the best), she will tell you "I have been painting since I was 3, I have always been a creator, this I do not think can be taught. When we are born, we are not taught to breath, we are not taught to blink, and we are not taught to hear, these are all natural, these are inborn, as is my art. I think it is fool hearty for me to say I can never learn or be taught, but I don't want other peoples ideas to change what my minds eye sees. If someone teaches me how to mix a color or how to put images together, then the next canvas I paint, isn't it not then the work of the teacher who taught me? I feel it is. I want to paint what is me, what is in my heart, I do not want to paint other peoples ideas or colors or images. It took a lifetime for Picasso to unlearn what was taught to him, and at the end of his life he was painting like a child, and that is what he is today mostly know for, his abstract pieces. Why you may ask, why is Picasso known mostly for his abstract art, the answer is because it was different, different from the art that everyone else before him created and so is the art that I create. I love to see the work of other artist but I don't want their paintings to become mine. I don't believe true art is taught, I think it is born with you, it is with you from the time you can open your eyes as an infant and it is with you until you take your last breath on this earth. I hope people will like my art for what it is, it is beauty, it is me, and it is created to show the beauty the world has to offer each one of us."

Those are the words of Zsuzsanna and we feel she is one of a very select few who is a self taught genius, an artist whose work is truly hers, her eyes take in the image, the images gets stored in her mind and from her mind the image goes to her hands then to the brush and finally onto her canvases, in essence a straight path to beauty. Zsuzsanna has been painting for over 25 years, she has shown her works throughout Europe and her pieces are part of many private collections in Europe. Zsuzsanna will have her very first showing in the USA in NYC, in the heart of the art world, the Jacob Javits Convention Center from March 3rd until March 6th 2005. This show will be open to the public on March 5th & 6th, and open to dealer March 3rd & 4th. Please make a trip to NYC to see the next great European/American artist.
